How our service works

The no-obligation quotation:
1. Ten to fifteen quotes are done daily and therefore we only schedule quotes when circumstances dictate.
2. Scheduled quotes are booked to fall within a 2-4 hour time frame.
3. One no-obligation quote will be done for a specific job at any municipal address.
4. In most cases, quotes will be e-mailed to the client, although we do fax and mail them when necessary.
5. When you receive the quote, please take the time to read it through carefully and notify the office of any necessary changes to client contact information or description of work.
6. The individual named as the client is responsible for payment of the invoice associated with the work completed.
7. This quotation (proposal) is for work requested by the individual named as client on the front of the quote. This individual is assumed to be the owner of trees or other plants noted in the quote (or owner’s representative).
8. The company does not, under any circumstances knowingly work on any trees or shrubs owned by a third party (including municipalities) without written permission from that party.
9. The company will not accept responsibility for any damage caused by tree failure, in whole or in part, which may occur between the date the owner first calls for a quotation or gives us the go ahead and the date the work has actually started or is completed.
Confirming that you want the work done:
1. For insurance purposes, we require a signed copy of the quote returned to us by e-mail, fax or mail, before we do any work.
2. Similarly, any additions or changes to the work described will require a signed confirmation by the client either on-site (while the job is in progress) or forwarded to our office.
Scheduling the work:
1. We do not generally schedule work, but if requested will call in advance to notify client of our intentions.
2. Scheduled work is subject to the unpredictable nature of weather and other delays beyond our control.
3. Generally, jobs which are scheduled with a client will be started in the morning between 8 and 10 a.m.
4. Any other scheduling of work is done in half-day blocks, only.
5. We regret the inconvenience, but we cannot be responsible for failure to meet scheduled dates for completion of work affected by weather conditions or other factors beyond our control.
6. We do not schedule any work which is estimated to take less than a half day (based on the crew size originally planned for the job).
Work completion:
1. The team arrives at your job with a copy of the quote and detailed written instructions.
2. Sometimes changes to the work originally contracted for by the client, will be necessitated based on conditions that have changed or were not evident at the time of the quote. In such cases, and subject to prior client approval, our field representatives have been given the freedom to make necessary changes to the work originally prescribed, based on their experience, knowledge, and professional discretion.
3. The company will not accept responsibility for any damage caused by tree failure, in whole or in part, which may occur between the date the owner first calls for a quotation or gives us the go ahead and the date the work has actually started or is completed.
4. Work-site safety is our #1 priority.
5. It is our policy to continually review our practices and procedures to ensure compliance with legislation controlling our operations, most notably the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and applicable regulations.
6. In certain rare circumstances, work may be terminated when previously non-existent or undetected, hazardous conditions are identified.
Payment:
1. Full payment is due on the day work is completed, unless arranged in advance with our office.
2. Payment may be made by cash, cheque or credit card.
3. Quoted prices do not include G.S.T.
4. Where terms of payment apply, 2% interest per month will be added to any portion of an invoice outstanding for more than 30 days and this will be compounded monthly.
