What is a free no-obligation quotation?

• This is a quotation for tree, shrub, vine or hedge work as itemized specifically in the original contact with the client (e-mail or phone information).
• Generally, no-obligation quotes are a quick and specific site review with the task outlined and associated fees, anything further than this can become a paid consultation and charges do apply.
• Generally, we do not schedule quote visits and when we do they are scheduled in four hour blocks only.

What is not included in a free no-obligation quote? 

Although we are well-qualified and happy to do this consulting, we do charge for our services outside the normal time or scope of a regular quote visit, please refer to the detailed list below:

• Requests by the client to assess everything on a property and provide a break-down of quoted prices.
• Requests for assessment/commenting/reporting on structural integrity of a tree (tree risk assessment).
• Requests for assessment/commenting/reporting on health of many plants on a property.
• Walk-abouts that take more than 20 minutes, with the client asking many questions.
• Arborist reports or e-mails/letters of opinion.
• Planting plans or recommendations.
• Custom prescription for specialty, tree-specific work such as cabling and bolting; cavity treatment; diagnosis which requires research or lab culture; soil sampling, delivery for testing, test data interpretation and resulting prescriptions for amendment, etc.
• Permit Applications related to municipal by-laws.
